SUBS started as a capstone project and became a mission — to give every Filipino small business a fair shot at running a professional, automated booking operation.

Why we built SUBS

We noticed something while growing up around small businesses in the Philippines — salons, clinics, tutoring centers, repair shops. These businesses were talented and hardworking, but their booking systems were stuck in the past: text messages, paper logs, and Facebook DMs.

Double bookings happened. Customers showed up at the wrong time. Staff were overwhelmed coordinating schedules manually. Revenue was lost because there was no easy way for customers to book and pay online.

We built SUBS to fix that — not for enterprises with IT departments, but for the solo freelancer, the family-run clinic, and the growing studio that just needs a tool that works.

The Problem

The team observed how local SMEs — salons, clinics, repair shops — were still managing bookings through text messages and manual logs. Appointments were missed, double-bookings were common, and customer satisfaction suffered.

The Idea

SUBS was conceived as a unified platform — one system where any Filipino small business could automate their bookings, get paid online, and look professional without needing a tech team.

Built for the Philippines

The team chose GCash as the payment gateway and Resend for email — intentional decisions for the Philippine market. The CSP AI engine was designed from scratch to solve real scheduling conflicts at scale.

Launching SUBS

SUBS launches under Akeela Studios, serving its first wave of business clients across Metro Manila. The platform supports Launch, Growth, and Scale plans — making professional booking tools accessible to every SME.
